Display options
The Display options button in the site header lets you:
- Make the text larger, up to 140 percent.
- Switch to high contrast, black on white.
- Underline every link.
- Add space between lines and letters.
- Stop animations.
Your choices are saved in your own browser only and are never sent to Beta.
The application, referral and callback screens have no site header, so the button is not there. Your browser's own zoom and contrast settings still work on those screens.
How this site is built
Beta builds this site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. That is the target, and some pages may fall short of it. The site uses:
- Plain language and short sections.
- Headings that say what each section holds.
- Keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator.
- Strong contrast and large links and buttons.
- Page landmarks and labels for screen readers.
- Text alternatives for images that carry information.
