This page is Beta's intake, not the state's. Applying asks Beta to act as your Care Coordination Agency and to send your waitlist request to the state (DHCS). DHCS decides eligibility after the nurse assessment and releases openings; each home decides its own admissions. DHCS is the California Department of Health Care Services.

Get your code
Give your email address. Beta sends a one-time code that opens your application. You do not need a password.

Say who it is for
Yourself, or a family member or friend you are helping.

Answer six short steps
Your details, the applicant, contact and address, income, health and care, programs and legal. It saves as you go, so you can stop and come back.

Read, then sign
Applying for yourself, you sign on screen. Helping someone, you send their answers and Beta collects their signature.

A coordinator calls you
A coordinator calls you within 24 hours, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., to fill in anything missing. The call comes from (747) 293-5777.

Beta sends the waitlist request to the state
DHCS keeps one waitlist and releases openings in priority order. Being on the list is not enrollment. DHCS reports average waits of 11 to 12 months for people leaving a nursing facility and 3 to 4 months for APS or Ombudsman referrals; no one can promise a date.
