Is Beta a real Care Coordination Agency?

You should not have to take a website's word for it. Everything below can be checked on a state site or with a phone call, and none of it changes if you choose a different agency.

1. The state lists us

DHCS publishes its list of Care Coordination Agencies for the Assisted Living Waiver, by county. Beta appears on it under the name Beta Hospice Care. Open the DHCS list of Care Coordination Agencies and find the name yourself. Or check any agency against the DHCS list here, with the date Beta read it.

2. The legal name and the office

The legal entity is Beta Hospice Care, Inc. Its office is at 1525 N D Street, Suite 10, San Bernardino, CA 92405, the address on the DHCS list, open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The name is the hospice line's, which is how the state listed the organization. ALW care coordination is a separate line of work with its own team and phone number.

3. The people

The program pages are written by Beta's ALW team and checked against the official sources each page lists; the date of the last check is shown on the page.

4. Who decides what, and what it costs you

DHCS decides eligibility and releases openings; each home decides its own admissions. Beta cannot move anyone up the waitlist or promise a room, and anyone who says otherwise, in any agency's name, is wrong. Beta does not charge you for care coordination: Medi-Cal pays Beta directly, and no one at Beta may accept a payment or a gift for a referral or a placement.

5. Your choice, and where to complain

You may choose any Care Coordination Agency on the DHCS list and any participating home. You can change agencies through the state's process; the change takes effect on the date on the state's form.
