Before you begin

What you will be able to do

  • Given a family’s or a referrer’s question, separate the published criteria, waitlist status, a released slot, facility participation, a current opening and enrollment, and state none of them as done before it is.
  • Given a common ALW question, name who decides it (DHCS, the CCA, CDSS, the home or another provider) and send it to that owner.
  • Explain the criteria and the costs to a family or a colleague without deciding eligibility or promising enrollment, an opening or placement.
  • Record a case’s stage from the evidence in hand, so that a request sent is never written as a confirmed status.
  • Before using an emergency amendment, check its event, place, people and dates, and apply only the requirements it changes, inside that scope.
