Before you begin

What you will be able to do

  • Sort a medication task on shift as assistance or administration, without forcing, hiding or overriding a refusal.
  • Check a medication helper's training against section 1569.69: the hours for the home's licensed size, the exam, the yearly in-service and the repeat rules.
  • Check a PRN order and its label for the four required items, and match the steps and records to what the resident can determine and communicate.
  • Place a health condition as allowable, restricted or prohibited, and name what each requires before admission.
  • Read a hospice care plan for who contracts the hospice and which tasks stay with licensed professionals, and report a hospice stop on time.
