ALW enrollment and waitlist, February 2026 figures

DHCS's file shows 14,809 people enrolled and 20,262 on the waitlist in February 2026. A dated note adds March 2026 from DHCS's July 2026 file.

In every month shown from September 2025 on, the waitlist is longer than the number of people enrolled.

Note added October 5, 2026: The DHCS file posted in July 2026 adds March 2026: 14,831 enrolled and 15,910 on the waitlist. Source: the DHCS file, ALW Year to Date Enrollment and Waitlist, January 2019 through March 2026. On that date Beta found no ALW figures for any month after March 2026.

What to do

The counts do not say how long any one person waits. The state holds one master waitlist and releases openings in priority order, when the state releases capacity. Beta cannot predict the wait or move anyone up the list. Read how the priority groups work and what keeps a request ready. Beta does not publish its own agency waitlist count.
